Pretty much everything that we know of is temporary; it is just a matter of how long the time span of that temporality is. A planet might be able to exist for billions of years, a human being, a matter of decades. A meme may manage a lifespan far beyond what is predicted if it becomes popular enough and gets spread into enough corners of the internet; however, that is not the case for all of them, which often fall out of favor in the following days, weeks, or months. It makes it all the more imperative that we enjoy them while they last, because before we know it, they might be gone forever (only to make an unexpected resurgence in a couple more years, if they're lucky).
